PhD position in Grapevine Ecophysiology

This PhD project will examine the intra- and interannual dynamics of carbon assimilate reserves in grapevine under recurring water and heat stress. It aims to determine how these stresses influence carbon assimilate loading and unloading. A special attention will be given to the “memory” effect of stresses across successive growth cycles. The project will also assess how genotypic variability affects the observed reserve dynamics.
Both controlled-environment experimentation and modelling will be employed.
